Does any one know or can someone point me to information about running multiple protection systems at the same time?

I'll explain why: I noticed my McAfee Security center is a bit lame on stopping recent trojans / malware when it's entering the system, and it also is a bit behind to recognize them. I was wondering if I can run Spybot's immunizer and teatimer togetheer with the security center, and if it would do any good to purchase Malwarebyte's active protection module and let it run as well. I'm not sure however if that's just using double resources for the same effect, or even worse: if the can 'stand' each other.

Any info is welcome. Good and bad experiences. Other hints and tips (does the Ad-aware module do a similar / better job?)

I do not want to launch a discussion 'this is better than that style', as I have noticed in the past, that all anti-malware tools seem to have a very good reason to exist. They are doing 99% the same thing, and are essential for the 1% they do in a different way :)

I'm mainly looking for feedback on the specific pro-intrusion modules, the prevention part of the software. fi. Do they take away a lot of system resources?

    Thanks!

Spybot's immunize feature simply blocks bad sites .. uses no resources to do so.
TeaTimer is to help prevent unwanted registry changes ....... little to no resources required.
MBAM's realtime protection uses little to no resources in most cases, and monitors files attempting to hook into system processes.
You should suffer no conflicts using any of the above, though only trying them out will tell for sure.

    Thanks!

Just bought Mbam and launched both resident tools in Spybot S&D.

I'll update this post if I notice things worth writing about.
