I'm trying to install a game (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) on my computer. Every time the install gets to 15% I get this error message: "the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error ". I don't know what this means. The drive has no problem with other disks I put in. I'd be very grateful if anyone has any advice for this.
    Thanks!

Actually, my husband did it. He just copied the info from the CD to the hard drive and then ran the installation from the hard drive. The other CDs worked fine. It was only the first one that gave me that error. I don't really know why.

    Thanks for the feedback,

It's possible the first CD has a slight flaw, you may want to make a backup copy or ask for a replacement if possible.
