I am not sure whether this belongs under general security or other software.

Avast checks every 4 hours for new updates. Anytime it checks, in the taskbar, there is always a message (showing that a process named avast.setup is running and gives an option to :switch to install mode: Is there a way to disable the notification just for this process?

This also happens on start up because avast updates on startup. Annoying

I just want the notification for that process disabled. Avast is okay to update as much as it wants.

Hi Sniper, If you RIGHT Click on the Avast ball in the Task Tray then LEFT Click Program Settings a window displays headed Common. Go down to Update (basic) and highlight (left click) and on the display click on Details. I think this is where you should be able set what you want. Neil.:D

Should be an option in SpywareTermiator one would assume. Now since I don't use it I can't make any suggestions.
