    Hello Masters

    I have been in trouble for about a month. Here are the issues I am facing :

    1) My Computer is Slower Now
    2) Some times it just hangs
    3) Some times it shows a blue screen full of some data, and then very quickly it restarts.
    4) Often when my computer starts it says "Error Loading OS" or "Disk Error"
    5) I have already posted my issues in Virus and Malware forum. Here is the link
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/malware-virus-removal/78725-inactive-my-computer-infectred-i-think-3.html

    Geri ! supported me on that forum, but none of the advices helped me figure out thing.

    Finally he suggested that i should post my problem in this forum.

    Here is the Recent Error Log of my system.

    I suggest you do the following .....

    Ensure that you have a current backup of your data and maintain it current - preferably on an external device, certainly not on the drive that has the OS installed.

    Check out the hard drive with the manufacturer's disk diagnostic software .....

    ExcelStore ....
    http://www.excelstor.com/en/download.asp
    Hitachi/IBM .....
    http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/download.htm
    Samsung ....
    http://www.samsung.com/global/business/hdd/support/utilities/Support_HUTIL.html
    Seagate, Maxtor, Quantum .....
    http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/
    Western Digital ....
    http://support.wdc.com/download/

    Set up the computer so that it does not automatically restart on system failure .....

    Control Panel > System > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > Settings ....

    Under System failure uncheck 'Automatically restart' and under Write debugging information select 'Kernel memory dump' from the dropdown list and OK out.

    The computer will now show the BSOD in the event of a System failure giving details of the Stop message and the contents of the memory will be dumped to disk.

    Run the dump data through our Dump Data Collection Tool and post the log here (copy/paste).

    Unfortunately these logs require expert knowledge to analyze and there are only a few members (who occasionally visit WindowsBBS.com) that have the depth of knowledge necessary. Other members can make observations and suggestions as to how you might proceed toward finding the cause ....

    Reinstall/update the chipset drivers for your motherboard.

    I would not rule out a motherboard problem, but it is important to establish the integrity of the hard drive first.

    Most probably your hard disk is failing.

    Do as Pete suggests. Backup your data at once.

    Run chkdsk /r on your hard disks.

    Hello PeteC

    I downloaded the Seagate tools, but when I tried to run that, it shows me an Un-handled Exception and if I click on the error's window detail button it shows me this:

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging= "true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    I suggest you install the Seagate tools on another computer and use it to make a bootable CD. Boot to that CD on your computer and run the tests.

    I have a feeling that you are running the wrong drivers for your IDE Controller. Go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer and get any driver updates for the IDE Controller. If you cannot see any, they should be bundled with the chipset drivers, although the other day I saw them called "INF drivers" which is a useless (inaccurate) terminology. Let us know if you need help, some of the links in my signature could help you identify your hardware.

    Check if your HDD is running in PIO mode

    I've not had occasion to use Seagate tools - I use Hitachi & Samsung drives so I cannot comment on your unexpected result above.

    Follow Matt's advice.
