Hi, my name is William and I found this site while researching a problem I was having with Google and its search listings. I live in Albuquerque, NM and it is currently cold, about 43 degrees F but sunny. We received about 3 inches of snow last night. Yea! I do SW development for my real job and launch rockets for my hobby. I hope everyone has a great day and hope the holidays are good for all of you. :)

Yes, it can be very interesting at times! Here is a link to my local club so you can get an idea of what gets flown. ( http://www.arsabq.org ) You can just click on the "Launch Reports" tab to see info and pictures of past launches.

They are a lot of fun but they are a lot different from when I was a kid. With computer technology, GPS, and just the shear size of motors available nowadays these "hobby rockets" can turn into very expensive, high flying projects which require FAA waivers, explosive licenses, and a vast open area like New Mexico to launch them.
