Someone please help me, I just did a clean install my system, got a pc chips A13G+ v3.0a board and xp is not detecting the ethernet adapter, I know it is enabled in the bios, but it is just not seeing it there. I have downloaded the drivers from the pc chips website for the ethernet adapter but there is no setup program for the drivers so I can't get them to install.
Thanks ahead of time for the help.

The drivers would most probably in inf format. Double click the file with .inf extension & they should get installed else goto Device Manager & click update for your ethernet adapter. Choose Advanced & give the path of the folder where you have saved these files.

Thanks for the help, though in the device manager it is not even showing the ethernet adapter to be able to update the drivers.

It would be shown as Unknown Device.

Did you load the chipset drivers for the motherboard?

I don't know which driver you downloaded, but the LAN driver for your mobo is here .....
    http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWebSit...esc=A13G(V3.0)&CategoryID=1&MenuID=75&LanID=0

Downloads as a zip file - not clear as to which .inf file is the installer - try the first one first - as rsinfo posted ....
No need to go into Device Manager.

It is not showing in the device manager at all even as an unknown device. I downloaded the drivers for it
though there is no installation program for the ethernet driver in the file just the drivers themselves.
