Right-click a spot on the Desktop > click Properties > click the Desktop Tab > choose some other picture in the Background field shown. Click OK and you should be good to go.

Just to add to surferdude2 comments...

The "n*de" file may still be on your PC so if you didn't get the file name of the "n*de" pic before you followed suferdude2's instructions you should do a "search" on your computer for *.jpg or *.bmp and find the offending pic.

If you have not followed surferdude's instructions yet then record the name of the file, then change your desktop pic, and delete the "n*de" pic.

And to skin the cat another way:

Since XP uses the name Internet Explorer Wallpaper to name any Internet picture you select for Desktop Background (wallpaper), you can find an acceptable alternate picture and right click-it and choose "Set As Background" to make it your new Desktop Background. That will overwrite the previous selection and the offensive picture will be gone from your drive entirely. :)

If you want to stop people from changing the backround try this:

    1. Click Start< Run< type regedit and press enter.
    2. Navigiate to the following directory, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
    3. Highlight the key ActiveDesktop and add/edit the DWORD value NoChangingWallpaper and change it to 1.
    4. Close Regedit.
    5. Reboot the computer.

If you want to stop epople from right clicking on an image and selecting set as backround try this:

    1. Click Start and then Run.
    2. Type in the following command and press Enter.
    3. regsvr32 /u shimgvw.dll

You should be good to go after performing both steps that I listed above.

Thanks Evan, that was the info the OP was asking for!

Please note that by default the key ActiveDesktop does not exist & you'll have to add it.
