I encountered 8 beeps when turning on the PC i know is to do with the video display memory, I tried inserting different video cards in different slots. Reset the CMOS, checking the jumpers, use different RAM.

Could it be a fault with the motherboard?

Hi FAHEY123, if you have AMI BIOS 8 Beeps Meaning: Video memory error Possible Cause: Bad Video Card or Memory.
That is what AMI BIOS Beep Code reports.
Phoenix says much the same 64k memory failure: Bad Memory. Award BIOS does not mention 8 beeps.
    Hope this helps
