I'm running two monitors, an Acer 22" Wide screen and an Acer 19" wide - very happy with both.

Had a problem with a 17" acer a few years back and the dealer sent if off and it was replaced with a new one a few days later. Happy with the service there as well. :)

My current monitor is a ViewSonic VP930b-3, a 19" LCD which has a native resolution of 1280x1024 (5:4 ratio). Desirable features are matte screen, narrow bezel, screen height adjustable to less than 2" above the desktop, and screen rotates to portrait view.

I don't watch movies on my computer, so have no need, or desire, for the wide screen format.

I have an Acer 22" that I'm really happy w/. In the shop it looked real good compared w/ the rest. I can't say it's better than any other 22 ", as I doubt that's accurate. I had previously used a huge portion of my desk for a 17" Princeton tube. What a difference!

I am using a 20" crt that I bought from Fry's in 1999 and it still works perfect. Brand name is "Magic" which may lend to its long life. Best 230 bucks I ever spent.

I use a Medion 22" that many Folks laugh at, but boy it craps all over your Acers and VewSonics and ASUS, but what I really want is a 24" Dell Ultra Sharp, in my Book best Monitor without a doubt.
ReggieB if you get one of them then you have all the vertical hight you ever want as you can rotate the screen.
Sorry Pete,us downunder don't get a chance to see the IIyamas.

I have a couple of ACER AL2017 units with homebuilt computers that have been working well for several months. Had a SVA VR17S that went black after a couple years. Had a 17 inch HP came with new computer and "blotched out" just over a year. Besides the flat screens still running a Trinitron Multscan E200 CRT in the repair shop. Still a great display and "feel like" will last as long as any refrigerator!

I looked at these at Best Buy and thought they looked good. Probably would ahve gotten one, except I was scared off by a review. Also Costco had the Acer for an incredible price (as cheap as the HANNspree!).

The Acer 22" LCD Monitor for $159.99 ends today, Sunday. This
has been one of the best deals all year. Click the link
below to order yours before it's too late:

Here's a paste from Tiger Direct email received today. Don't know if the moderator allows this kind of reference to commercial telemarketing. If not maybe he will send it along. I think no matter what you buy today it's a "crapshot" that may last forever or die within weeks!

I had a 15" Dell Trinitron that kept me happy for a few years. I picked up a Gateway 17" CRT for $20 and used that when the eyes started getting weak. I let the kids have the Dell. After a while I got to miss that Trinitron. About two years ago I spotted a 19" Dell Trinitron on Craigslist for $50. They'll need to pry my cold, dead fingers from this one, before it leaves my desktop.
