I have a column in excel consisting of a number with 5 digits.

    254897
    264789
    245269

Now i need to add a 0 to these number in front of them

    0254897
    0264789
    0245269

Is this possible or do i have to change all of them manually?

    Thanks

    Use the 'concatenate' command.

make a new column with 0s in it and concatenate it with your existing columns

    ie:
    concatenate(A1,B1)

You can use Format > Cells > Custom
Highlight the Type: field and enter
    0000000

This will place leading zeros in the field.
