    Hi,
I have knocked myself out big time trying to figure out why a Laptop with Windows Xp that I was told had numerous infections removed by Malwarebytes and Avast vrus scans, now has issues with the Caps and Tab key(s) not working as well as the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys...I believe there were infectins such as Aurora/Nail.exe that could disable certain keys but the scans I have run now show no infections...Your assistance will be greatly appreciated thank you...

    A faulty keypad?

Have you tried connecting an external keyboard to the laptop?

    Hi Wildfire,
No I have not...But when I used the Windows Xp On-Screen Keyboard due to another issue the laptop keyboard was having, that worked fine, so that's why I did not go the route of the external keyboard...Do you still think it's worth a shot ???

Yep, if possible try an external keyboard. If that works ok it could point toward a faulty keypad, perhaps as simple as a loose connection. If it were malware then it would probably affect any physical keyboard connected, the virtual keyboard could still work ok though.

    Hi Wildfire,
Okay on that, I will try that later on today and post back by late afternoon or early evening...
