I searched site and have scanned the postings but don't see anyone else having this problem. When I open Win XP Pro All Programs, the programs are presented in three columns with the forth mostly of the page. I haven't been able to see any new program I have installed for quite some time as they would be in columns that are off of the page to the right. If these programs don't load automatically as needed, the only way to load them is to go to the program files and try and find executable to click on, or to make short cuts to them for later use.

I was wondering if anyone has seen a freeware or other program that would behave like the explorer as an All Programs replacement, allowing you to scroll or slide, so that you can see all of your programs.

    TIA,
    Frank

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly but if you wish to rearrange your menus in the start menu to a more suitable arrangement (eg Office, Games, Utilities etc) then if you right click on an empty space in the task bar and select properties... from there select the "Start Menu" tab and then "Customize "...

That should give you an idea as to how to organise your start menu which is what I think you were asking.

    Re grouping programs

    Hi Wildfire,

I did what you said. But, I dont seen any method of grouping my programs so that they wouldn't take up so much space, so that they would then for fit on the page when opened. The only function there to reduce size that I can see is using the small Icons which I am already doing. I don't see any method for grouping files. Am I missing somethng? I am using Win XP Pro and perhaps that is different from Win XP.

    Tks,
    Frank

    Apologies...

From an empty space in your task bar right click and properties

Then select "Classic Start menu "... "Customize "... finally "Advanced "...

From there you can add folders for games, office etc and move your programs into those newly created folders.
