Got a big problem with unistalling xp

    OK so i got myself into a big problem i currently have 2 XP OS installed and one was installed into my D:\ drive which is my recovery drive and the version installed on D:\ drive is not activated and I have lost the product key so i can't do a regular uninstall from control panel The other version of XP is usable and works fine but I need to uninstall the one on D:\ drive thats not activated Any and all help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance :D

    Hi jordons. Since the D:/ drive is your recovery drive and since you installed Windows XP on that drive you can probably just maually remove the Windows XP files from the recovery drive. Just delete the following directories on your D drive. D:/Windows D:/Documents and Settings D:/Program Files and anything else that is not for the recovery drive. Then after thats done you can remove the other Windows XP installation in your boot.ini file so that your computer will boot into the current Windows XP installation which is located on your C drive.

    You could just right click on D: drive a format it... BUT, you will loose your recovery files.

    Yes and thats why jordons should delete all of the windows files on the D drive except the files needed for the system recovery.
