Cursor moves on its own.

    I can only agree that this is probably causing the problem for this particular new keypad (the palm rest pressure thing) but it does not affect the old keypad. After looking at the link you suggested it reminded me of the time when I was a very young kid and took moms toaster apart and never got it back together again. I think disconnecting the touch point cable (which can be reconnected if needed) was the better way to go for me. The unanswered question is I wonder why the metal bar under the touch pad would not cause the same problem on the old keypad. Thanks for your input.

    This problem affected both the touch pad (mouse disconnected) and the Logitech wireless optical mouse. The mouse does give notice when the batteries are getting low, no problem there.
    The problem still exists but it is for now hiding in the background ready to strike if the touch point cable is ever reconnected - Thanks Kid
