    Hi,

I have an eMachine with Windows XP has 13 updates to be installed, but never installs them. It always fails.

    What should I try?

It sort of depends on the type of updates. Some of them require you to click on a "I accept" as they present a EULA for you to agree to. Doubleclick the Update icon in the tray, and choose Custom instead of Express and see what pops up. Otherwise they do not install.

    Hi Mark,

Yes, I see. I manually installed a couple of them. I see the XP SP3 there. I tried to install that manually... and after the prompts.. it was good for 30% (checked space, did backups) and then, I get "Service Pace 3 Setup canceled "

    KB936929 is the number.

Hi, I had the same problem when I got my laptop, I had about 30 or more and it would down load them but not install them , I found I had to download & install them a couple at a time. Might be worth a try, Cheers Des.
