This error message pops every so often and if it is not addressed the, same message will recur multiple times. (I will have to click ok on 3-4 windows). I have not experienced any side effects of this message except that I can't get Itunes to work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now and it won't open. I've read threads about using HJT and Combofix and Vundofix and have used them too but nothing seems to work. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Csc.exe apparently is part of the .NET framework. I would recommend uninstalling your version of .NET and reinstalling it.

Ok, but how exactly do I do that? I'm usually too afraid of messing up my system when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Through Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel. Be sure to note what version of .NET FRAMEWORK it is before you do so. It will say so. Your software might need that specific version to operate.
You can download the latest version from the following page, and there are links to previous versions there also.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/netframework/aa569263.aspx
Then go to Windows Update for any Critical Updates for it.

I have version 1.1 and 2.0. Should I remove both or just try 1.1 first and then if that does not work try 2.0 also? The download of 1.1 just finished so I will just have to wait and see if the error message pops up again.

Ok, I ran Windows Update too and it is automatically installing the .NET 2.0 pack

The download went fine and I restarted my computer. After logging on, I got a new error message saying hpqtra08.exe-Bad Image.
The whole error says: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSVCP71.ddl is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

Sorry for the string of posts but I just tried to open an Adobe Acrobat document and a similar error popped up saying it was a bad image.
