I've got 2 PCs conected ( Both same WinXP vs).
1 of them (the black 1) is the server and has 2 net adapters (1 onboard intel - using 4 local - and 1 offboard encore - using 4 internet), the other (white) has an intel onboard.
I configured the local net under 192.168.0.1 / 255.0.0.0 and shared the internet and it was working just fine (almost a year with no probs).
Now the problem: the black intel - local - dont see the white 1 no more.
Already did : restored the system, reinstalled the driver, updated the driver , re-entered the ip, checked the services, repaired the conection and changed the cables ( result of the cable change: no internet and local worked fine).
conclusion : something wrong with the black pc onboard intel!
Please can some1 gimme a way 2 fix this?

Is it too much trouble to type "for" instead of "4 ", your post really confused me until I realised what you meant. Some of us dinosaurs still use old fashoined communication you know :D

Anyway I see you've resolved your problem. Though the original post indicated a cable issue to me.

To be fair, normally I wouldn't care but I had to google his hardware to confirm it was a LAN card and not a router/switch 1 for Internet and 4 for Local. You can see why I was confused :) By the time I'd finished googling he'd resolved the problem.

Anyway this is no longer relevant to the fixed problem.

    TTFN :D

My reply was tongue-in-cheek, i.e. the misspelling of "˜hear hear’ combined with the correctness of The Plain English Campaign.
