The case fan in my Dell is starting to make some noise. I will probably have to replace it in the near future and would like any brand recommendations on fans. I haven't had to deal with fan replacements before, so I want to make sure I look at a quality product. I'm looking for a 12 volt 92x92x25 fan. Thanks.

    Hello Mike,

Off the top of my head, Antec, Thermaltake, Zalman. If the system is modest I find CoolerMaster are decent quality.

    These look pretty good:
    SilenX IXP-64-14 92mm Case Fan
    # Air Flow: 42 CFM
    # Color: Black
    # Compatibility: Case
    # Dimensions: 92 x 92 x 25mm
    # Noise Level: 14 dBA
    # Package Contents: Case Fan 3/4 pin Fan Connector Screws
    # Power Connector: 3 / 4 Pin
    # RPM: 1600 RPM
    # Model #: IXP-64-14
    # Item #: N82E16835191011

    Low noise level !
    Good air flow.

    Mike,

Go to www.svc.com and have a field day. Primary factors to consider are air movement in CFM, noise measured by DB and bearing type - ball bearing vs bushing or sleeve. You can also get into variable speed fans with thermal sensors or all the permutations of colored lights and LEDs but you won't find a single site better than this one for fans.

    ;)

Thanks guys! I'll poke around the link and search the brands you mention to see what I find.
