Here is a strange one (to me)

I have attemped 5 times to download a 38 Meg zip file from an FTP site.
Each time I downloaded it, the download window indicated I had the compleat file.
However, upon examination in explorer, I find only 13-15 Megs in the download folder.

Using Netscape 7, I can get the entire file.

    Windows XP
    Pentium 3, 850 MHz
    512 Megs SDRAM
30 Gig HD with 40% open

    Anyone ??
    TIA

Maybe it's a remote rather than local issue in which case there's not much you can do about it (other than mail the webmaster of the site hosting the file).

I don't think it's a remote problem because I was able to get the compleat file using Netscape 7 as my browser on my machine.

I must say also, on my Wife's machine that also uses IE-6, I was able to get the compleat file.

Both of our machines are connected to the same cable internet provider thru a Linksys router.

Daizy, I will try another site and report back my results.

Right now, it appears to be a problem with my IE-6 browser

I take it the TIF has enough space to accommodate the download? You can adjust the size setting under Tools - Internet Options - General - Temporary Internet files.

Brett, I must say, you are the "Super Geek "
That was my problem, I was using a ramdisc that was set to 15 Meg.
Don't know why I didn't think of that before :(

As the good Amish people here in Pennsylvania say:

"Too soon oldt, too late schmart "

Thanks for all the replies folks.
