clearing files (in directory at bottom) in wmp

Does anyone know how to clear out the list of accessed files on the bottom of the file icon in my windows mwdia player? It keeps getting longer and longer and I can't find it anywhere.

 

There are innumerable ways to do this, but to avoid registry editing, especially if you do this often, you might try ListZapper at www.pcmag.com .
An alternative is to download the Windows Media Bonus Pack. This includes a tray control for WMP that has an option to clear the MRU or even to disable it altogether:
