I recently purchased an Aspire One with WIN XP Home SP3, with no optical drive, and would like to load some programs on it from some CD's that I have.
I have read that it is possible to use a CD or DVD drive on another computer in my wireless network. I can not find how to do this. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

Hi Ackerberg, have you got USB ports on both units? Why not try to load your program to a USB drive (I have a 4Gb unit) and then install to your Aspire PC. Neil.

I loaded programs to my EeePC running XP - no optical drive - from the DVD drive in my main box over my network by sharing the DVD drive. Don't remember the exact details, networking is not my strong point :) , but it was successful.
