Okay, I'm a rank beginner at computer stuff and when I went onto youtube today it told me I needed an updated flash player to view any videos. So I click the link they give to download the new version of Adobe Flash and an error message pops up, presumably after download is complete, that says "iexplore.exe Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll"

Now I have no idea what this means or any clue how to fix it, I still can't get the Flash player to play vids, and now the same error message is popping up whenever I try to open anything on my desktop. I tried downloading a ADVAPI32 repair off the web called RegCure and it still gives me the message when I try to use it, and it won't open. So I'm stuck and have no idea what to do next, and I am computer illiterate, so any help, please? And make it very simple to understand, so I can try it?

    Hello apachiedragon,
    welcome to WindowsBBS ... :) ... !

    1) Have you tried System Restore to roll back the system to a date prior to installing Flash Player? If not, try it.

    2) Go to How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control and follow the instruction to uninstall FlashPlayer.

    3) If any of the above is successful, go to Adobe Flash Player to get and install it. You must be logged in as administrator. If you are logged in on a limited account FlashPlayer will not install.

i uninstalled all flash player versions and started from scratch. my computer's safety protocols were blocking the ActiveX part of it, so once i figured that out, the new version installed right away. thanks!
