We have Windows Server 2003 and we are using roaming profiles with folder redirection on Windows XP laptops.

We have ran into a problem were certain users move files and put them in folders to make them organized. All the files are out of there nice neat folders after they log off and log back in again. However, if you go to e-mail an attachment, the files are still in the folders but if you look in the actual folders they are not.

    Help! :(

In the attachment window you should be able to find a "View Menu" button. Select Detail View and arrange the files as needed.

E-mailing the attachment really has nothing to do with the problem.

Lets say you go to my documents and there is a number of files. You spend a few minutes creating folders and moving the files into these folders. Now when the user logs off and logs back in again. The files are in My Documents again and not in the folders. The folders are there but they are empty.

Now with all of that said, if you go to send an attachment. All the files are in the right folders. However, if you go to start/My Documents, they are not in those folders.

    Hopefully, that is less confusing.
