    Dear all,
we have a Dell Poweredge 830 running SBS 2003 SP2. This is a french installation.
After a crash disk we had to reformat the system disk, reinstall SP1, SP2, exchange 2003 SP2 and finally restore all system state parameters and data.
The remaining issue is related to MMC 3.0 which is giving errors for some of items (eg Analysis and reports).
Do you know if there is anyway to re-install MMC 3.0 in SP2 (a download is available for SP1)
    Thanks for your help

Run the SP1 version and then reinstall SP2.

    Thanks for replying
do you mean uninstalling MMC 3.0 from add/remove program ?
I already tried it but was afraid with the number of other programs that can be impacted (the warning message gives more than 120 depending items as windows server 2003 SP2, R2, WSUS and much). I believe all programs that can be managed thru MMC.
    Thanks again !
    JP

    Assuming that :
    • you need the items MMC is unable to deliver, and therefore you need to try and fix this problem
    • You've search the Microsoft knowledge base and googled for solutions without success
then yes, you have little choice but to try reinstalling MMC.

I'd start by trying to reinstall over the top, but if that didn't fix the problem then yes, I would uninstall and reinstall.
