    Hi There,
During removing some dedundant softwares i seem to have deleted the file that was probably acting as plugin in FF as a result of which FF can't open pdf files now although i tired to load plugin but to no success and the same thing is happening in IE too.

    would appreciate the feedback.

Uninstall Adobe Reader, using Add/Remove Programs. Then download and install Adobe Reader, Version 9.00.332.

In your cleaning, as you said, something necessary was deleted. As both Firefox and IE are affected, that's why I recommend starting from scratch, with the most current version.

One woman's treasure (Acrobat Reader) is another man's trash

My apologies to Ramona, but I couldn't resist the above :).

Here's another option ... instead of using Adobe's Acrobat Reader (which I consider to be bloatware), try one of the other free PDF readers available (I use Foxit Reader).

In addition, FF's PDF Download extension gives you several choices when you click on a PDF link (an IRS form or publication, for example) ... you can download it, view it with an external viewer, or view it as HTML.
