Not sure if I can explain this sufficiently but will try not to confuse anyone.

When I send an email to someone say on a Monday at 1:00 P.M. and they reply on a Tuesday at 6:00 A.M why doesn't the date and time of my original message appear in the email when I read it or print if off? If I then reply to their response the date and time doesn't show there either.

I could swear that when I used to print off a threaded message each message in that thread appeared with the date and time sent.

I just checked all of the tabs under Options but didn't find anything that seemed to pertain to this.

    Thanks.

    Pat,

Would you send me an email, and I will reply to you. By doing so, I can see what is going on. I'll give you an address by PM.

Also look in about:config in Thunderbird, and tell me what the settings show in Value:

    mailnews.use_received_date
    user_pref( "mail.ui.display.dateformat.today

Found in: Tools | Options | Advanced
Scroll to the last line: Advanced Configuration
    Click on: Config Editor

    Ramona,

The message I sent to you via the PM bounced back as undeliverable. I just clicked on the link in your email so it wasn't a typo on my part?

I'm leaving shortly but will try again when I get home.

    Thanks.
