Outlook express popping up instead of Outlook 2000

    OK I am at a web site and I click on an email address to send an email and intead of outlook 2000 popping up outlook express pops up.

    I don't use outlook express and never have and I can not find out why it is popping up intead of outlook 2000.

    I went into where you can choose which client to use and outlook is there so I can not figure out why express comes up instead of outlook 2000.:confused:

    Presumably you’re running XP.

    If so, right-click Start > Properties > Start Menu Tab > Customise and change the drop down box to Outlook 2000.

    Yes, XP and outlook is already there, not express

    Check Internet Explorer's Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab.

    Should be getting close through process of elimination here - lol

    Open up your e-mail account properties.
    In the connections tab is - Always connect to this account using: -
    checked? If so uncheck it and save.
