    Computer Specs:
    A8n-vm-csm-CPU - (Athlon64 3000)-temp 29C
    PCI-GeForce 7600GT-temp 48C
    3 GB of RAM
    System temp 34C
Only temp that I see off is the on board video which I don't even use and its at 53C
Temps are after the computer has been on for a day in a half.
    Sound is on board SoundMax

When I listen to a recap of a NFL game or any video it lags, the audio cuts out and lags. Same as if I am playing something with Windows Media player.

And when I tried to load TF2 it took about 8 mins to load and the audio lagged there also with some glitches here and there-even though it was still playable it was just annoying with the audio lagging.

Oh I forgot to add-It lags out more when I load some apps for example when I was listening to WMP and I minimized it and loaded firefox and SpeedFan it the audio lagged more.

    Anybody have an idea?

Do you notice any other things constantly slowing down?

You can go to Device Manager and uninstall anything related to the audio, you will need the drivers CD when you reboot.

No luck, I would uninstall the Soundmax program in Add or Remove Programs. Before reinstalling, look for updated motherboard chipset drivers from the Asus website. You may want to install any Soundmax update from there rather than the drivers CD.

I uninstalled everything like you said and the problem is still here. I made sure there was no Microsoft updates and motherboard updates everything is up to date. I reinstalled the SoundMax from asus site.

Yeah it is slowing down, like everything, my start up is slower, my shutdown, loading games or Firefox... anything.

That's good, thanks for letting us know. Watch it doesn't go back to PIO mode again, otherwise you will need to find out why it is happening.
