I need help. I have tried several times to install the CorelDraw trial version on my computer. Everytime I uninstall it it deletes some of my Office 2007 files along with it. There is not an option to choose of to not delete similar program files or files used by other programs.

I've looked on Corel and it gives nothing. Can you someone help me?

    Thanks
    Winnniee

I'm not sure of the files. However, I do know that when I uninstall the CorelDraw that my office 2007 does not work. Nor can I reinstall it from the upgrade disk. I would have to reinstall to find the exact wording. However, it tells me that the program is not available to install the upgrade.

Wouldn't purchasing a real copy of Coral help?

Do you have the capability of repairing msoffice? Meaning the cd's that your version of msoffice is. Can you expand on or be more specific on how or what you think is broken in office? What are you trying to do, what error, if any occurs (exact quote please), etc.

    ----Alternate instructions-------------------------------------------------
Want to avoid going into the registry your self? Using CCleaner may help with this. In the following instructions just replace the words "office" with "corel ".

A recipe that works for many is the same as the removal for botched msoffice except your focus would be on corel: (Please remember to stick to files designated, related or named "Corel ")
    Here are the steps.

D/L and install Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

This should only be used when a normal install fails and you have done all you can to normally uninstall. Never use this to uninstall a program first it is only for failed Add/Remove or other uninstall failure.

    1. Run it choose only the items that you can not uninstall normally and remove them.

    2. My Computer (explorer) browse to c:\Program Files and find the office folder and delete it. If it will not delete all then do this afer the reboot I direct below.

    3. Reboot

    4. D/L and install CCleaner: Clean temps and registry. Run both (temp and registry) repeatedly until no more found.

    http://www.ccleaner.com/

This should get rid of most remaining Office registry items.
