Need help from XP expert !

    Just got a Toshiba Laptop with Windows XP Home edition on it. I would like to is it possible to join this laptop to my office 's NT4 domain ?

    Please kindly give me a quick answer, Yes or No.

    If Yes, how can I do so ?

    If No, should I downgrade my OS from Windows XP Home Edition to Windows 2000 Professional or upgrade to Windows XP Professional ??

    Please kindly advise ASAP.

    Short answer - XP-home does not understand domains and will not join one.

    2000-pro vs. XP-pro is very much a matter of personal preference. Do a search and you will find a few very long threads discussing all sides of this issue. But either will do fine on the domain.
