Program to report network failure

    [Program to report network failure]

    Ok I need a program which when a device goes off the network, it notifies me that there is a problem via TCP/IP, email etc...I know there are plenty but could not find one which is really good and reliable. In fact one of them even managed to get my server offline for some reason!! I wanna use this program with 2000 server / 2003 server and notifications sent to XP machine.

    Can anyone suggest a prog for this use?? Thanks

    I find Didyma works fine, is very cheap and simple to use. So great for small networks.

    If you want something more robust, WhatsUp Gold has a good reputation.
