I have a hp laptop. Volume is not muted, but I can not hear anything. No speakers, just the one in the laptop. I have checked in the control panel, but everything is on max volume and everything looks right from other postings. I have even tried the rollback to when it was working. I can plug headphones into the computer and hear everything. That makes me think it should be a simple problem.

    Any and all advise welcome.

    Thx

Is there a volume control on the "side" of the machine?

There are controls above the keys for the volume and a mute key. The mute is off and the volume is on high.
