When I boot up on Windows XP a window opens which says to insert a CDRom for file D:/VTruck.exe I don't have such a CDROM and cannot locate this file on my computer. How do I stop this window from opening every time I boot up the computer? Any help would be very welcome, as I am a novice at computers. Thanks! Kevin

    Quick suggestion,

select start -> all programs -> startup

do you see anything there that suggests truck.exe? If so highlight and delete, if not come back and I'll give you further pointers.

Or login as Administrator, Start->Run. Type msconfig & press enter. Select Startup tab & look for Truck.exe. Remove checkbox from that line , press Apply, Ok & reboot.

Wildfire: Thank you for your suggestion on eliminating that bothersome virtual truck message upon opening my computer. I had tried many times, with various other pieces of advice, but yours was the successful solution. I am really indebted to you for your help. Thanks! kevin Cross.

No Problem, FWIW rsinfo's advice was equally valid but msconfig is a dangerous tool when used with inexperienced hands (that would have been my next suggestion though).

Wildfire: someone else had given me the same suggestion as rsinfo did, and I tried it ,but it was too complicated for this beginner. I got part way through the procedure, and if I remember correctly, I had to open a file window, but when I did there was nothing in the window--it was blank--so that ended that! Anyway your suggestion was relatively fast, painless, and best of all--successful! Thanks again. Kevin.
