I want to copy an Excelsheet which is rather wide (A-AA) into a Word document. Wahtever I try, it's either too large or just a few columns are copied. Basically what I want is for the to copy sheet to appear as if it is printed on a 1 page to 1 page basis into Word.

Is this possible and if yes....how?

    Thanks,

    Spete

When inserting a file or copy/pasting into Word, I was only able to get columns A-R with the column widths being 8.43 and the paper being legal sized, but through column V with Tabloid size paper (11x17).

I tried several options to fit in A-AA but couldn't find anything that worked with the exception of changin the column width to 6. How wide are your columns? Can you change font size and use wrap text in the cells to shrink the column size any?

    Spete....

At times I've had to force format requirements. I have not tried copy/paste spreadsheets into a word processing programs, but try this easy trick. Using "Word" as an example, open a *new* document. Now click on...........
File| page setup| paper size tab| ........ see orientation options, select *Landscape*, click "OK ". Now copy/paste spreadsheet into document. If it does not fit on "Letter" size paper, try legal. This takes you from a 10 inch to over 13 inch document
    W I D T H. Good luck.

PS... Some printers require that you also select *landscape* print option when you want to print the document.

Thanks all for your replies. It doesn't look like it's possible what I want done. The options you gave (being helpfull) are not what I need. The best way to explain it is a s follows:

If you print an Excelsheet, you can choose in the printeroptions to fit it to 1 page * 1 page. This is basically what I want to do, but instead of printing it needs to be pasted into a Word document.

Anyway, not to worry, I already feared it wasn't possible.

Don't know if this would work, but you could try.... When you go to your print option screen in Excel, choose " print to file" option. (remember the file name you give it) This saves the document with all of the embedded format codes for the printer. Now go to "Word ", select "Insert" option, go down list and click on "File ". Choose the "print to file" you previously created. Don't know if this will work, but it might be a solution.
