I have xp home edition, using Roxio to copy music onto cd's. When I try to copy a music cd to a blank cd-r, roxio copies the tracks and finishes the cd. When I try to listen to the cd in car's cd player, it 'skips' after a few words of the song and goes to the next track, and does that with most all the tracks.

What is happening here.........can anyone offer suggestions.

I might add, that there are music cd's I sometimes copy via Roxio and this does not happen. Any help is appreciated. Thx. mcsarge

I would say most likely hard ware, how old is your burner, common problem of jumping or distortion of copied CD playback in car is Read - Write Speed to high I have had this problem and a lower speed has eliminated it.
A easy and cheap way to start with.

To Hawk22: thank you for this info. The Roxio hardware is the one that came with the computer and its at least 6 years old. I will probably need to update it, but first I will try your suggestion. thank you for responding.........mcsarge
