I wish to replace internet explorer with Firefox, as my web browser. Do
I have to delete internet explorer so that I can use Firefox? What happens if I have both browsers on my system?

Just download Firefox and install it. It can be your default browser or not, and you can change your mind about that, too. Firefox, IE, and Opera all co-exist quite well on the same PC.
