Got stuck at black screen while booting

Hi friends I am getting one problem when i am trying to boot windows XP.
Problem is

I have wndows XP sp2 installed and intel pentium 4 processor.Last night power went off suddenly and since i didn't hav UPS backup my comp shutted down immediately before i was trying to turn it off safely.Today morning when i tried to boot it, it is getting stucked after booting and it is just showing black screen.I tried to log into safe mode.There also it is giving the same problem.I tried to recover it from recovery console,but it is asking for administrator password.But it is not taking the password.I don't want to do new installtion since i had a project which i am doing in oracle.

So,someone please suggest me to get out of this problem.

If you did not set a password previously leave the box blank when using the Recovery Console and press the <Enter> key.
