On one laptop I have outlook 2002. I have a new one to replace it that has outlook 2003 on it. I have set up the email accounts on the new laptop. All I want to do it move all the emails I have on the computer with outlook 2002 to the new one with outlook 2003. how can i do that??? I tried following the .pst transferring thing from the microsoft page but it didn't work. Maybe the person messed it up or i did. Does anyone know how I can move emails from the 2002 outlook to the 2003 outlook. I can use thumbdrives. I have cables to directly connect the two of them but I don't know how to set that up to make sure it works.

You need to use the Export/Import feature on both programs.

how exactly do I do that. Like I have several folders with lots (up to 3 hundred emails) in each folder and I want to load them into the computer with outlook 2003. I have never done an import export before. If you could walk me through it that would rock!

    Hi

    Hi!

    You can try this ---
you can go to the following link to make sure your hidden folder are shown on your old pc.

    open any folder then
click TOOLS -folder options -view - select show hidden files and folders

now we need to copy the pst file from old pc. so follow this link
my computer -- local disk (C) {this should be your windows drive} -- documents and settings -- {your user folder} -- local settings -- application data -- microsoft -- outlook
then copy the outlook file and put in the same location in new pc but you can rename it if your outlook 2003 has the same name of its pst file already.
Once you do that you need to open outlook 2003 and follow this
file > open > open outlook data file

then go to the same location for old outlook of old pc and open it

----- you have your old messages open :)

reply if solution worked for you
