Something in windows has broken so naturally I want to re-install it.
I just want to know if I will have to re-activate it?
Last time I changed around a disc drive it wanted me to re-activate.
Will I have to make that awkward phone call when I re-install or is this reserved for ye olde hardware changes?

you need to click on activate but don't have to make another phone call. you do that only if there is a hardware change.
