Does anybody know of any FREE utility set similar to Tune-Up Utilities 2008, PC Tools Desktop Maestro 3.0, and Mindsoft Utilities 2008?

Instead of having people go out and research these to see what they do, it'd be easier if you listed the things you'd like to do for free.

    Let me ask

To answer Steves question - I want a registry cleaner.

Is Auslogics Registry Defrag pretty much the same thing as PC Tools Registry Mechanic?
I installed this but am curuious if it automatically fixes invalid registry entries.

Auslogics Registry Defrag compresses your registry so that your computer can access the registry faster. It doesn't clean the registry but just compresses it. Its similar to registry mechanic in that way.

Personally I am against using a registry cleaner because you could severely mess up your computer. If you want a free registry cleaner that is good then you can try Regseeker, http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/RegSeeker/1035382760/1. No installation required. Just extract the files and run the program.

I want to warn you though, use it at your own risk.

My five cents worth: I love RegSeeker, until you try using it under Vista.
It'll find invalid entries just fine. But, you can remove all of the items it finds, immediately run clean the registry again, with or without reboot, and they are all back again. No solution found thus far. This was tried on two desktops and one laptop that have either Vista Ultimate, or Home Edition Premium installed.
