Hello: When I upgraded to FF3.0.3 and tried to print something, it came out all gibberish, but if I print from IE7 it comes out just fine!
I went back and installed FF 2.0.17 and it prints Great.
Why can't I print with the newest Firefox version, any one have any idea's? Thanks

I am using 3.0.3 with no problem. Just curious, have you been attempting to use 3.0.3 with the same profile as 2.0.0.17? I don't know why you would have the problem you describe, but it could be due to something incompatible in your profile. May be an add-on, which would have been coming along for the ride.
Running in Safe Mode may diagnose the problem.
I have both 2.0.0.17 and 3.0.3 installed, and each version has its profile.

I suppose it could be profile related, how do I change my profile
Also, what add-ons would affect it, I can look into them too? Thanks

    Tom,

To check your Add-ons, click on: Tools | Add-ons

    To create a new Profile:
Right click on the Firefox Desktop Shortcut
    Select: Properties
To the end of the "Target" line, add: one space, then add: -p

This will take you to the Profile Manager, where you can create a new Profile.

If you need more information on how to do this, please let us know.

I see the ad-ons, but I dont know what I am suppose to be looking for?
Could it be the No Script add on stopping printing from working right?

Also I Put he -p at the end of targer line and Applied, as suggested but nothing happened? Thanks

Beside what Ramona said, you should check the behavior in Safe Mode. Starting in Safe Mode disables add-ons, and, I think Themes, as well. I have eight addons, and I use the default theme. If you have a lot of addons and themes, it may be a pain. Once I had a problem, and after the Safe Mode start told me that I had no problem, I disabled all add-ons, and reenabled two at a time, until one set gave me trouble.
I have the Roboform Toolbar, emusic toolbar, Forecastfox, media player connectivity, Yahoo mail notifier, Get Mal Plus, McAfee Site Advisor, and IE Tab.

Right now I am back to ff2.0.17 and it is printing just fine.
Are you saying I should reinstall ff3.0.3 and try to print in FF Safe Mode and it will state what the problem could be with the printing? Is so I am willing to try it, Thanks

    Tom,

Do you know how to "Allow" a page using NoScript? If so, ensure that you have allowed the page you are trying to print.

Do you have this problem on all pages, or only a specific page?

Once in Safe Mode try enabling the Add-ons one by one to see if one of them is causing your problem. Also, does Firefox crash when you try to print?

Your Target Line should look like this:

    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p

Does your Target line look like the above? Did you remember the space between exe " and -p?

You might also try -profilemanager and see if that works for you. However the -p should work.

I think I did but will try it again!

The problem is with ALL printing when I am on ff3.03
As I mentioned, I am now using ff2.0.17 and it prints fine.

I have to go away til next week, maybe when I return I will install ff 3.0.3 again and try all the instructions I am getting with this post and see what happens. Will get back to you guys then, Thanks

    Tom,

When you install Firefox 3.02 again, ensure that you create a separate Profile for this version. Do a "Custom" install and when presented with the program location, give the program a unique name as shown HERE.
