I have a Logitech mouse, one of the older ones with the ball under it. It's not plugged in to the USB port, but to, I think it's called P/S2 maybe? When you move the mouse, sometimes the pointer moves but sometimes it doesn't. I took the ball out and cleaned the rollers even though they didn't look dirty, but it didn't help. I checked in Device Manager and it said the mouse was working.

Any suggestions on fixing this will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Did you look at all three rollers?
Trying a different mouse would be a good test to if it's actually a mouse problem.

OK, after cleaning the mouse, it still didn't work at first, but now later in the day, it's working fine. I guess my problem is solved.

    Thanks.
