    Hi
I seem to have to log in at every visit?
I clicked the "remember me" box but I keep getting forgotten:eek:

I updated to IE7 just a while back and I looked for a setting to "keep Cookies" but could not find it. (I'm guessing that is why I have to log in everytime??)

Can any one help me here?
    Thanks
    Geri

    Hi Geri

I had the same problem yesterday after a reload of IE 7 although I have used IE 7 since beta without any log in problems. In desperation I gave WindowsBBS all privileges in the firewall (CA) and that partially worked, but today, so far, all is well.

May have been a glitch on the server?

Even IF there was a glitch on the server, the password remembering function is just a cookie that is being set, so there's a problem writing/saving the cookie on the local system.

    Hi
    Well still forgetting me?:(
It seems like it's after a time period. like 24 hours.

I can close out of the site, browse the net or check my email and come back and I'm still logged in. but when I come back the next day I have to log in again?

    Any Ideas?

Maybe a cleaning utility of some type that runs each day?

    Hi Zander

I do run CCleaner, But have the windowsbbs cookie saved in it.

I even deleted it, signed in again here and saved it again, thinking that it was maybe outdated. But still no go.

I know this all started just after I updated to IE7. before that I had no problems.
I did not post back sooner because I went for like two days before I was not remembered as being signed in:confused:

This is not the only site that it is affecting also.

It has got to be something in IE7:cool:

My first thought was that maybe CCleaner isn't compatible with IE7 so I did some searching and from what I found, that appears to be the case. Seems to be a lot of people with this problem. I'd try not using it for several days and see if you're cookies stick. Also, check the options for an option to run at startup and uncheck it if there is. If this works, you've found the problem. You might want to check to see if there's a new version available. My guess is that if it's not compatible with IE7, it won't be too long before they have one that is.

    Thanks Zander.

I know I am resurrecting an old thread, but Vista IE7 has a problem with not saving log in cookies too. The resolution is to add the site to the trusted zone and/or turn off the "Protected Mode" for sites in the trusted zone. Just thought I'd pass this along for anyone doing a search.
