    Hello Guys,

My Compaq nc4200 laptop has a DVD tray in it's dock. I used to be able to burn dvds until today. Windows is popping out "Windows encountered a problem while trying to copy this folder" every time I try to drag and drop files into the blank DVD icon in My computer.
What could be the problem in your opinion.

    Thank you for your support.

    Fadi

What burning software are you using?

Remember XP doesn't have its own software.

You are right! I have sonic recordNow! but it crashed 2 days ago. I guess I should reinstall or get another DVD software.
    Thanks for the reminder.

If you would like a nice free burning software program for DVDs and CDs, try CD Burner XP.

I have been using for quite a while and prefer it to the Sonic record now program that came with my PC.

I registered the software and receive an email when there is a new update but other then that they do not email you.

Yes, it has (basic) built-in support for burning CD's, but not DVD's.

The OP asked about burning DVDs and I replied that XP, unlike Vista, doesn't have any DVD (implied) burning software.
