    Greetings All,
Tried to do a search on my particular problem to no avail--When I access the internet from IE 5 on my system (Currently running ME) The explorer starts and dials in fine, but it stops right at 250kbs received and exactly 199 sent---it will load no more than that--- I have tried reinstalling IE, adjusting/reinstalling the ISDN modem, and I am about ready to just reformat the disk or reinstall the OS.

    Any help appreciated
    BB.

If you have 98, try going to Add/Remove Programs, Windows Components (or whatever it's called) and uninstalling Dial-Up Networking. Then reinstall it.
You might also try deleting your connections in the Dial-Up Networking folder and making them all over again.

You might want to look at the Networking control panel applet, too. If all the components are there, you will not get a message when closing it that the network is not complete.
You could also try removing each component and replacing it again. Try a different logon type, like Windows logon or Client for Microsoft Networks.
I realize you probably didn't change any of these things, but your ISP may have (a call wouldn't hurt) and I'm just repeating the steps I followed when I had the same, mysterious problem.
The small exchange right after connection indicated to me that there was a problem with protocols and that hand-shaking was not occurring properly.
