Ok looks like I found the culprit or I believe I found...

The OpenLdap service [slapd.exe] cannot start even trying restarting it is to no avail....gives error 1053 timely fashion timeout .

This service is essential for the operation of my mail server. my .NET framework is up to date as i found suggestion to update it.

    Does anyone know any solutions?

OpenLDAP is natively a UNIX application. Web searches suggest that to use it on Windows you have to run a couple of other systems to provide a Unix type environment. For example cygwin or Apache and PHP. Therefore there could be a number of related applications causing the problem.

Your best bet is to look through the application logs. Start at LDAP log file and work on from there.

Active Directory uses LDAP: therefore, I'd check that it isn't using the same port OpenLDAP is trying to use.

    Solved it by reinstalling LDAP.

    Thanks
