I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. The problem I have is that I used to dual screen my computer, but now I want to go back to single display, but when I do my games have major major delay. For example, when I play CS and press W, it doesn't go foward instantly, but few seconds after and then it stays going forward for a bit before it stops. Another example is typing in the games too, I'll type "Hello" and it slowly types it out letter by letter like 5 seconds after.

The weird thing is that when I switch back to dual monitors, the problem is fixed..

Anyone here ever had this problem and know how to fix it?

Sounds rather like a driver problem - it is 'remembering' a twin monitor setup. I would uninstall the graphics drivers and any associated graphics software, reboot and reinstall the drivers, etc with just the single monitor connected.

Check in Device Manager that the second monitor no longer shows.

I would look at the program that is controlling the dual monitor setup. Windows has controls for dual monitor, the graphics manufacturer's software will have it's own.

If you have, say, an ATI or nVidia graphics adapter, the dual monitor could be getting controlled by the "manager" of those. It may be getting configured by Windows.

From what I see, you have not told the graphics manager to stop stretching the desktop onto the second monitor.

I use the Nvidia multiple display wizard to set up my dual screen.

When I look in device manager I have 4 default monitor and the viewsonic that I'd like to use, do i uninstall my 4 default monitors?

As the screenshot below? Have you set the first option under #1?
If the card is capable of running two monitors you will see 2 default monitors plus the two installed monitors. I don't know why you see 4 default monitors. If you remove in Device Manager some if not all will reappear on reboot - try it and see what the result is.

Yes, I use option 1 in your screen shot.

Also I tried disableing my monitors in device manager and it didn't do anything. I still lag in my game.

I even updated my videocard drivers and I still have this problem.
