When my sister's PC is started a new set of Icons appears on the desktop. When I looked at it the desktop showed 9 copies of each Icon. I cleaned the Icons off and re-started the PC...The screen was filled again with Icons. How can I correct this???

We would like for you to use HijackThis™ version 2.0.2 from TrendMicro™
Click here http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/hijackthis.php?page=download to go to the download page. Our preference is for you to download the HijackThis Installer. It will ensure HijackThis is properly installed prior to scanning. Once installed, click Do a system scan and save a log file. When it completes, the log will open in notepad. Copy the contents of that log and paste them into your NEXT POST, then click Submit.

They are identical ICONs to the originals except the name has a number. For example, it could be an ICON for, say, MS WORD and the next icon is the same except it says MS WORD(2) and the next one MS WORD(3)...and on it goes.
