I expect to get a new PC in a couple of months. Can I transfer my Netscape profile data from the old one to the new one? I checked my Users folder which is about 8Mb so I believe I can use 6 or 7 floppies to transfer. (I have no other way to transfer data).

Specifically, what I want to transfer is my Address Book, my Bookmarks, and my e-mail filters (I use Netscape Messenger). What files should I transfer over and how do I get them into Netscape when I install it on the new computer disk? Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks again, Ramona. Yes, I'll use your guidelines when I get my new PC and install NS 7.0. It'll take a few floppies, but it'll be worth it not to have to re-create those lists. Keep up the good work!

    Ciao,
    grandpa :)

Just to confirm, if I transfer the files (via floppies) listed in Ramona's Netscape Solutions, do they include the address book and the e-mail filters?

    Thanks,
    grandpa:)

    Hi grandpa,

The pab.na2 file is your Address Book.

Ah, a good question about the Mail Filters. That's one I've left out and will add to that web page. Your Mail Filter file is rules.dat.

Let us know if you have more questions, or we can give you more help with your transfer of files.

    Ramona :D
