I have this program installed on my computer and it runs OK except for one problem: It's chopped off on the left side!!! I can only see the right 1/2 of the program window. Does anyone else have this program and have a similar problem with it?

I updated my DirectX, reinstalled my video card drivers and repaired the program installation; nothing.

    Here's a link to the screenshot http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/cyber...hawk77/lst?&.dir=/screenshots&.src=bc&.view=l

This is strange, second post that has a current date in the Applications forum listing:
Logitech Instant Messaging Companion shadowhawk 0 17

but an old date in the message thread itself! Is Arie placing old posts that got no replies back to the top of the list with a current date?

Anyway, shadowhawk, I couldn't get your link to work (guess you deleted the screenshot) but I was thinking if the problem is a way off-center window, you could try what works in Internet Explorer

Thx for the reply. I clicked on the link and was able to get to the picture. No it's not an autohide thing. It's like a small program window that runs right in the middle of my desktop. There's nothing blocking the left half of it. I'll try uploading it elsewhere and post a link so you can see.

Edit: OK I redid the folder privacy thing, so it should be visible now. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/cyberhawk77/lst?.dir=/screenshots&.view=l

I checked out the links at http://www.logitech.com/companion/index.html and http://www.logitech.com/companion/faqs.html and didn't see anything there other that you need MSN Messenger (version 4.0 or later) and/or AOL Instant Messenger (version 4.7 or later) and that one of these programs must be running alongside the Logitec companion program.

I was wondering if the Logitech program's screen size is related to what AOL or MSN IM window is "active "? Looking at your screenshot, it seems as though the width of the program window might be around the width of an AIM buddy list window. See if changing the width of the AIM or MSN Msgr "buddy list" window, or opening a message window makes any difference.

Only other thing I can suggest is to look through the Help contents.

I don't have any other program windows open at the same time as IM companion window. It's just that it gets lopped off for no reason.

Arie, how sneaky is that ;)

    Shadowhawk,

The faqs say that you need to run the companion program with either MSN Messenger or AOL Instant Messenger, so maybe that's the problem.

In my experience with computers, even programs that require others to run along with them still have a full window box.

If there's no difference in the cut-off portion of the companion window even if a MSN IM or AIM message window is open alongside and you found nothing in Help then I'm out of ideas.

    :(

It's got me stumped too. I've never had a problem like this. I can't even access the File menu cause it's on the cut off portion.
